I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Chinese audiophiles a Happy And Prosperous Lunar New Year.

This is the time where many of you may find lots of time to spend with your beloved audio system. There’s no where else to go to, almost every place will be closed, may I suggest that this the time to do some area cleaning on the sound system.

Of course, do a little dusting here and there but you can now look at how to make your system sounds a little bit better sounding without really coming out your precious pocket money.

Here are some of the things you can consider. You can re-adjust your components so that the signal wires and the power cords do not cross next to each other. All of your RCA jacks can do with a little bit of polishing and most important of all will be the wire posts of your poweramp and loudspeakers which needs a regular cleaning job. Your speaker cable connectors are equally important too.

Dynamic Loudspeakers / Cone Drivers, dust can play a major part in you getting a excellent sound if you don’t care about dust settling on them especially the tweeters and the midrange driver.

Lastly, do let your sound system settle down again in order for you to begin to listen to it seriously.

The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Century Music System,

Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Century Music System

I was at a friend house listening to his sound system, the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Century. He played a classical an acapella sang by a choir. It sounded quite good. He told me that more and more people are willing to pay good sound with a niche styling. He said that equipment brands like B&O and Bose are making great sales even during the recession period. Now with that in mind, I flew down to Scotts road and visit the B&O showroom at the ground in Hyatt Hotel.

The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Century Music System, a clever combination of excellent performance and ease of use operations. If you want good sound but not the size, and a full array of functions but without the complication, everything is operated by buttons that light up to guide you through from CD, Radio and Tape including a remote controlled set. It can be wall mounted or on tabletop.

At the showroom, the sound is not as great as what I heard at my friend’s place. Maybe it is more suited to classical music as of Jazz, New Age or popular songs but it can be quite dynamic for a small music system.

Well, I guess the bonus is already given out and you have to decide what kind of music system you want. It is good to know that business is coming up, I was told that some audio outlet can have a five figure sales on Saturday and my friend told me that niche styling components system can gross 10 million annual sales in crisis years.

That’s Amazing. Keep it going, Guys!!!
