The Reality 3D is an audiophile state of the art reference loudspeaker. The unique design sets a new aesthetic standard for loudspeakers in the high-end class. The Reality 3D uses a tetrahedron cabinet. A tetrahedron is an equilateral pyramid. As no standing waves occur in a tetrahedron, it is a cabinet without resonance. Inside the cabinet acoustic waves can never amplify one another in phase and are reflected by the inside walls under the ever-changing angles. The 7.5 degree angled cabinet, in combination with the natural acoustic behavior of the driver units, ensures phase linear radiation. The very slim profile of the asymmetrical cabinet also helps to avoid diffraction and maximizes sound dispersion. New inventions have been made in the crossover to obtain the excellent three – dimensional sound of the Reality 3D loudspeaker. The frequency response linearity is extremely precise and intensely phase linear both on and off axis. The reason for this is the Scan-Speak driver units and the very musical Linkwits-Riley slopes of the crossover. The crossover components are of the highest quality and have been selected after intensive listening. The combination of high sensitivity and no shifts in the impedance curve makes the Reality 3D loudspeaker an easy load for any amplifier. Only the finest handcrafted precision builds Scan-Speak driver units, which have been exclusively developed for the Reality 3D loudspeaker, are used. The Reality 3D uses 6 ¾’’ woofer with a die cast aluminum chassis and an oversized powerful double magnet with patented SD-1 system (Symmetric Drive) that reduces driving current rise time and increases the magnetic field while diminishing distortion. That provides excellent power handling and allows clean sound with deep bass, fast impulse response and extremely fine micro-dynamics. |

The one-inch hand-coated silk dome is improved by the addition of the SD-2, the LCD (Low Compression Design) and the NRC systems (Non-resonant Chamber). The tweeter is free of oil and provides brilliant details both on and off axis. It has a high dynamic range and is totally free from compression. There are four gold-plated terminals for BI-wiring or BI-amping. The Reality 3D loudspeaker has three rubber feet, which can be replaced by accompanying spikes. Time-alignment can be fine tuned to suit your favourite listening position by mounting two spikes in front and one rubber foot in the rear at the bottom of the cabinet. The Reality 3D loudspeaker is finished with a combination of very thin acoustic black polyester textile cover at all three sides and a top and bottom of marble, there are several colour finishes. Given the Reality 3D’s unique equilateral shape, and the way it interacts with the room, listen to it in near field and discover the full three-dimensioned touch feeling sound-field that the Reality 3D loudspeaker generates. A stereo subwoofer can extend the Reality 3D loudspeaker low frequency. The SUB-module makes the ideal partner with the Reality 3D. The SUB-module has been developed exclusively to extend the Reality 3D bass reproduction in larger rooms without destroying the aesthetically design. The Reality 3D can be positioned exactly on the top of the SUB-module while keeping the opportunity to BI-wire or BI-amp the Reality 3D. Initial listening indicates that the Reality 3D is capable of high-resolution sound reproduction, which is lifelike and musical too. WAF scores will be very high with the Reality 3D. This is a true reference class standing loudspeaker, which does not draw attention upon itself, but only when the music plays where images are rock solid in front of you. |
