Speakers liking is very personal. Paradigm references consisted of many models, are you
talking about passive or active? To be honest, I have never auditioned any Paradigm before, however, high quality wooden box speakers always please me better than any
panel speakers. I like the 'meaty' feel and the full rounded bass, and the passionate tonality and feelings after the timber is fully sonically seasoned. I don't discover
these from any panel speakers I've heard.
I may be bias... as I've said, speakers is a very personal thing.
I have chances to listen to two maggies systems set up properly in the past few months
and I was very amazed with the performance. However, they just aren't my cup of tea... furthermore, placement of panel is really not easy and they demand high quality power
amplifier to couple with... You should have let me know more about your other components and room size, etc...
