Big Ben Vs Bit88

I read with great interests on Big Ben and Bit 88. I would like to improve the music from my hifi (budget set - Marantz 63KI CDP, Rotel amps with Roger LS3/5a speakers). Was considering Big Ben earlier (have read good reviews but quicker access time is not a big consideration) and now Bit88 arrives. Which one is better? Thanks.

Oh dear...how should I put it?

They have completely different functions. Big Ben is a replacement of the original clock of your CDP with higher specifications, the improvement is like upgrading to a better CD player or changing a pair of cables... BIT88 is an sound enhancer which restores a lot of lost signals. It creates a much grander sound stage with more ambience and details, at the same time you can hear much lower bass than ever before, beyond what you can imagine that your speakers can produce.

In your case, Roger LS3/5a is a very restrictive speaker due to its size. BIT88 is a perfect help!

Of course we prefer both! But, if budget is really limited, Bit88 is more versatile and useful, which means even if later on when you have the budget to upgrade other components, Bit88 can still be used with your new system.
