Hi Joe,

I feel flattered by being quoted twice in a single day on 1388 by both you - the ‘hidden agenda’ in ‘Joe Lee Says’; and Martin (the most controversial interpretation of “W”, “I”, “F”, “E”).

To be frank, your AU24 promotion has rung a bell of another similar cable promotion that I think most still haven’t forgotten. That one hit the headline among most frequent ‘Adelphi pilgrims’ back about a year or so ago while you were probably still hibernating in your own cave.

    Similarities:

    1.       Playing King David - giant killer?

    2.       Offering cable contest

I can’t remember if they offered 7-days money back guarantee. They probably wouldn’t have been nuts like you.

I have no opinion on promotion of this sort. It’s about business afterall. Neither do I have any opinion on that other cable cause I had not attended any contest or ever owned one myself. All I wish is to just to bring this up for you - the caveman - information.

I wish your cable would receive overwhelming responses and ZERO…return rate. If we have the ‘real agenda’ of playing just for fun (admittedly, I have the urge to do so…), you’ll end up in d..e..e..p…  s..h…..

I wrote with good intention.

BTW, do you know Au means 'gold' in element table? You probably know. I scored 'A' in O-level chemistry. Ag is silver, Cu is copper, Pb is lead, etc...

Dear Ben, I don’t have a clue which shop you are referring to. I was a caveman at that time.

I think the reason Audience named their cables Au-24 is because of their name Audience. The material is not gold. But why 24?

To me, Au-24 produces the best ‘music’ I have ever heard. I have came across many cables in different systems and some are even 10 times more expensive than Au-24, but I didn’t hear the same musical purity and definition. That’s why, there was a time I’ve been thinking to arrange a contest and let all the participants be the judges except myself, to promote this cable. However, a wise man told me that no matter how fair is the contest the losers’ owners would definitely claimed that the system setup is bias, that’s why I dropped the idea.

I’ve been testing this cables in a few systems and very soon I will try it on more systems; so far, despite the prices, despite that the cable is not run-in, despite that other’s systems were favorable to their original cables, nothing comes near.

I have strong belief Au-24 is another ‘King David’! I pity the giants!

Hi Joe,

Ben’s concern is true as there are a lot of people who are not friendly and very troublesome. They may just take your Au24 to play for a few days (of course less than 7 days), then return to you for refund. Some people are really have “No Ear”, they cannot distinguish what is good sound, what is bad sound (you should have encountered a lot of people like this?). By the way, Interconnect is required to run in, it may not be able to defeat the one that the buyer has run in for a long time. It’s really a risk if the performance of Au24 is not outstanding.

After getting the interconnect (AU24) from you, I replaced it with my Aural Symphony AS5I immediately to see whether it’s really so outstanding as claimed by you. My first impression was that the sound of this interconnect is really very pure, good tonal balance, and be able to give very good details. Although the sound was a little bit tight as most of the new cables. I have run in this interconnect for about 16 hours before I wrote this message, the sound improved a lot after the run in.

The sound of my old cable is a little bit forward and it’s a demerit in my environment (the speakers are too close to the listening position). After changing to Au24, the sound has a better depth of image, better dynamic, better tonal balance and less distortion in high volume.

The most important thing is that with Au-24 I can enjoy listen to CDs for a longer period of time (Normally, I would listened to CDs for about 1-2 hours, then changed to LPs since listening to CDs for a long period was really very tiring).

I believe the sound will be further improve after longer run in. I will write my detail review after another 34 hours run in (I always believe that the cables can only be in normal sound after at least 50 hours run in).

My comment is that Au24 really can give a good sound (despite the cheap looking), but whether it can defeat the cables with much higher price (say, 3-4 times more expensive) may need some other users who are using expensive cables to give their comments. In my system, Au24 really gives significant better sound.

Joe, Good  Luck!
