Transport needs upgrade as well?

Dear Dr. Jon Wong,

After I read your article regarding the upgrading of the Pioneer SD904 cd player. I am interested to know whether my currently CD player: Sony model CDP-XA20ES can be upgraded and improved on the Digital Clock section, as I am now using it as a Transport only.

Hello Ang!

After the digital treatment, I actually prefer the Pioneer as a transport than some solid models. By the way, the same transport mechanism is used in some lower end Wadia players. It is smooth, warm and no loss of details.

But for your Sony, I need to check the frequency.
