How to make my amp sound FAST?

Does vdH CS-122 (or Clear Water) suitable for Marantz SR-18 while I need clear and fast sonic effect ?

Hi Alex,

Well, you did not mention what are the rest of your systems?! First of all , make sure your Marantz digital amplifier is sitting on a study base. I suggest you get a thick chopping board from Ikea and let your amp sit nicely on it. This will make your amp sounds more natural.

There are many ways to make your system sounds fast and clear, not just the speaker cables. The VDH silver coated cable sounds pretty good for its price. Do you have a pair already?

Try this:

Goto any sports shop. Buy two pieces of dumb bell weight (round and flat). After that, get ready at least four or five 5 cent coins (Singapore ONLY).

Place one peice of dumb bell wight on top of your equipement, starting from the Marantz amplifier. You will find the sound become faster and more energetic, but the high frequecy might suffer. Place a five cent coin on top of the weight. You hear for yourself. At all times, make sure that the weight is not obstructing the ventilation of the equipment.

Alternatively, you can elevate the set by using three metalic cones. You can buy them from hard ware shops. Buy three two inch type cones for surveying. Place them under your set and you will see the difference. I mean hear the difference.
