Buy more buffers or what? Dear Dr. Jon Wong, Thank you for giving advice for me to add a Buffer Amp (MF X10-D) in between my Pre-Amp and Power Amp. But when I hook it up I find that it sound much more improvement in between the CD and Pre-Amp, but now I have a question for you is it adviceable to add one more unit of Buffer Amp between Pre-Amp and Power Amp.Will it push the system to it fullest potential or it might not give any further improvement. If it really give improvement will it worth invest the money, or rather spent the money on a better DAC. Present Alchemy DAC in the box on Sansui CD-x711. Thank you. Andy Casrol |
Hello Andy, I am happy to hear that you find my advice useful, and thank you for your support! You are right, the buffer stage can give more improvement at the source’s side. In the previous suggestion my aim is to make your system more valve like. Buying two buffers is tempting now, but please hold your horses.
For the small amount of money you spend, you will get a return that will baffle you. Joe and myself can assure you: You can spend 10 times more than your current system, but there is no way you can get the same results. If you cannot wait, please send a personal e-mail to arrange for a ‘Beta Test’ of our new Bit88. This is a limited offer only. |
