One side louder!

Dear Dr. Jon Wong,

The sound level from the RIGHT CHANNEL of my HEYBROOK Integrated amplifier is much louder than the LEFT!

I have tested the speakers but there's nothing wrong with them. I have used this amp for the past 6 years without problem.I am unable to adjust the sound level because the amp has only 3 control knobs! (Volume/Listen/Record). What is wrong with my amplifier?

Who is the new agent for HEYBROOK AMPLIFIERS?

Please advise and thanks.

Hi LPW,

Sorry for the late reply!

Well, this can be a small problem if just the RCA jacks or the volume control knobs are too old. It can be serious if some transistors are aged.

Have you tried swapping the RCA cables? Have you tried swapping on the CD player?

We do not know who is local agent, but your amplifier really needs a service. Perhaps you can give us a call sometime?
