Home theatre improvement

Dear Dr. Jon Wong,

I have a home-theatre system, consisting of Sony amp STR DE925, with Cabasse speakers(5) from France.

I hope to solicit for feedback/suggestions to make my home-theatre, more enjoyable, i.e. whether to have a sub and separate CD player.

Hi Mike,

You did not fully describe your system. If you do not have a sub woofer, then it is very advisable to add one.

If you already have a decent DVD player, then my suggestion is to add a 96kHz 24bit DAC. It will be more worthwhile than buying a CD player.
