Matching Dynaudio Dear Dr. Jon Wong, I wanted to upgrade my speaker and I have in mind the Dynaudio Audience 40. I am presently using Marantz PM-90, will my amp be able to match well with audience 40. Please advice for other brand that I can consider if audience 40 can't match well with my amp. My buget is about $800 , I am using LP as my main source and I listen mainly soft rock , jazz and folk music. Thank U. John |

Hello John, I love the analytical and precise sound of Dynaudio. However, I am very concerned with the low impedance of the Audience. My experience with Dynaudio is they may need power to sound better. In fact, the bigger the better. But still, your amplifier can handle it if you are not going to play Techno hard and loud. For your type of music, if you give the Audience a good audition, you will find that the speaker is good value for money. |
