Room Echoe

Dear Dr. Jon Wong,

Hi, I would like to treat my room which is boomy and echoey. The dimensions of the room (LxWxH) : 14.4ft by 9.5ft by 8.2ft. What is the best way to treat it? Use somet hings like echo busters?

Hello Alan,

I am also doing a new hi fi room myself! Before looking for gizmos like room tune, I went to Ikea with my wife to look for some decent curtains for the windows, some decent curtains for the wall, and some decent carpet for the floor. That more or less solved the echoes in the room.

But do remember do not make the room sound too dead!
