AV Set-up that can do both the jobs Dear Doctor, I am looking for a good AV set up can do both the jobs. I am actually looking at Denon AVR3300 and Sony TA-VA777ES which had reviews saying they are excellent music amplifiers too. What would your recommendations be? I have only one listening room, I would know the definite answer, but I want to know which is more value for money and bang for the buck, so that I can get away with amps and speakers in a home cinema sounding just as well in music (which is more important). Do you have any recommendations for speakers that does both well, say Castle Harlech, Keep & Isis, Def Tech ProCinema 100 or Kef Reference 2, Q100 & Q85? Alan Ong |
Dear Alan! Unfortunately, you have not given us the following details:
Our suggestion is you plan a budget. After that, you list out the equipment combination that is close to that budget. Now, our recommendation is you audition the combination from your list personally. If you can audition it more than once, that will be better. Ask yourself honestly which is the one you like most (the brand name and the looks will affect you as well). Once decided, buy it without regret. We will then teach you in our site how to maximise your AV setup! Please kindly refer to our featured article, “Mr. Gui”. |
