Martin Logans and spikes

Dear Dr. Jon Wong,

Recently, I bought myself a pair of martin logan speakers [Aerius model] and in the verge of breaking in them.

There's no problem actually but i felt that something was missing on the speakers itself. That's when I noticed that they were actually resting on gliders instead of spikes.

My question is:

1] aren't these speakers suppose to come with spikes?

2] I've read about the spikes but don't know where to get them.can you help?

I think that's all for now and thank you for your time.

Hello Chen,

Well, even the Maggies do not have spikes? I thought they were supposed to be packed with your speakers. Please check with the agents.

But there is a better way than using original spikes!

Please go to the local hardware store and buy those metal cones for surveying purposes. Buy those that are about 1 inch in size. The are nice and big. You can use them as spikes instead, and they work much much better! Also, they are a lot cheaper than those specially made for audio purposes. Remember, use the sharp end pointing downwards.
