Primare Match

Hi Dr. Jon,

I have the following system:

  • Speakers: Primare L20
  • Cables: Kimber 8TC
  • Room Size: 3m x 6m
  • Music Preference: All Kind
I have been thinking of setting up a HiFi system in my bedroom for sometime. Now, I had an opportunity to purchase a Primare L20 speaker at a reasonal price. I would be thankful if you could recommed some amp & CDP to match this speaker. The only thing I have now is the Kimber 8TC speaker cable.

Hello Aiwan,

I am not sure what is your budget, but the Primare A30.1 will be a perfect suite for the speakers. Usually, getting the same products from the same manufacturer give the least problem in matching.

As for the CD player, I have two recommendations. One is the Arcam 9, the other is Audio Space latest release. Both are excellent sounding, and represent excellent value for money at their price range.
