| KEF Coda Hi Joe/Jon, I got a new KEF Coda 8 speak driven by 65W Carver integrated amp. I like to listen trance dance musics. When i turn the volume knob to 10 o’clock the bass seem to got cracking humming sound. My left speak is near a wardrobe , right is near my system rack. I use a sand-fill Atacama SE24 stand, on top I use blu-tak to stick my KEF speak. .......I AM BLUR. Blur |
Dear friend, The Carver amplifier and your Coda should sound nice. I like your funny expression ‘cracking humming sound’. It is bass crack up! 10 o’clock position can be fairly loud. Try to put a 5kg or 10kg weight on top of your speaker. You can buy flat dumb bell weights cheaply from sports shop. You should not turn the bass boost too high. Turn off the loudness control. Also, I suggest you use pillows or thin beddings behind your speakers. |
