ADCOM GDA

Hi Jon, I have heard a lot on tweaking of CDPs, especially the Marantz 63SE. Just wondering if the same kind of tweaking applies for older DACs. I have an ADCOM GDA 600.

Dear Steve,

Integrated Circuit (IC) technology improves tremendeously. Now, everyday there new chips or designs appearing on the market. Such is the rate of improvement. Imagine how much your CD equipment can benefit from changing from old to new ICs.

It could be like replacing the old 486 PC with a new Pentium IV 1Ghz CPU. Think about it!

I believe the Adcom GDA 600 has a NE5532 output op-amp? Replacing it with the latest from Analog Device will give new life into this machine.
