If you are a hardcore audiophile that has a pair of "golden ears" unlike any others...Frankly the product that I'm going to review this week will make your cup of tea. Auric Illuminator is the Name and superb sound is what you will get! Indeed, there are many ways in getting Audio CDs in particular to sound better than before. Likewise there's also the expensive and cheaper means. The former may come with the investment of a better hardware piece, like having to spend more on Amplifier and even speakers, that is of course you must be preparing to "burn" a hole in your wallet! The latter where everyone is searching everywhere for and also equally ironical about the end result...that is to apply the so-called lint-free spirited fluid that's commercially available almost everywhere to remove dust particles deposited on the surface of the CDs which many believed to be the main "culprit" in getting a more "skip-free" and "cleaner sound"...For the past, this may be true...but now a new product has emerged to refute this make-belief reasoning. |

Auric Illuminator is a product of a Co. called Audience Group. The group has spent an enormous amount of time and funds doing research and development on audio gadgets. Auric Illuminator is a unique gel-based cleaner. The gel-based material is unlike any other that we've seen before. This gel not only cleans up smears, dust and finger print patches on the surface of the CDs but also act as a kind of "protection" layer to deter further attraction of dust and micro particles. Yes, in a way it makes the disc surface antistatic. With a tremendous decrease in dust-deposition on the disc surface, it helps the lens in your disc player to "retrieve data" which is in the form of binary codes more accurately. It also improves discrimination of the exact end and the exact beginng of the reflective and non-reflective areas on the track. |

Application The application of Auric Illuminator is surprisingly easy, just a mere 2 steps process. And in no time, your CDs or even your LDs and DVDs will sound and look better. The application as stated in the manual is "semi-permanent"...that is to say there's really no need to reapply the gel again and again unless the disc has been cleaned with water or some other spirited fluid. |
Step 1 Make use of the Auric Illuminator Pen (frankly looks like a permanent black coloured marker to me...:) to mark out the outside edges of the disc rim and the inside of the center hole with the label part facing upwards. The markings helps to reduce ambient light and infrared light in the disc material which eventually improves the signal to noise ratio of the reflected signal thereby improving the "retrieving" of data more efficiently and accurately. Step2 Apply a thin coat of Auric Illuminator gel onto the playing side of the disc itself. | | Gently apply it over the surface in a circular motion with the non-abrasive cotton-weaved cloth. |
Make sure that the spread is rather uniform. Next, "buffer" the surface of the disc till it shines and free of smears. And viola! Play the disc and enjoy the difference. |

Used Auric Illuminator on my ID4 DVD I have used the gel on my Independence Day DVD and the sound does improved a lot to my amazement even the picture quality became more vibrant and livelier. To push the test a bit further, I jumped to the scene where the infamous aviation dogfight in the mid air between the alien crafts and the F16s fighter crafts were "wreaking" havoc to my active woofer every time I played. Wow! the buzzing and whizzing of the bullets from the planes sounded so "real" that I was almost taken aback...subconsciously! heee...The dialogue part also became more clearer and sharper.

Used Auric Illuminator on my fave Sandy Lam's album The end result was fantastic to say the least. To make sure that Auric Illuminator gel is the main catalyst attributed to such awesome sound clarity...I have delibertately applied a thin coat to the first track of the CD. With the rest of the tracks intact, I played the disc and true enough the track treated with just a thin coat of Auric Illuminator gel works wonders to the first track! The rest of the tracks in comparison were either a bit softer in general or no in depth ambiance produced. The bass became more more tighter and also deeper with no "boomy" feeling. Trebles became more well defined too. Simply superb! |

Conclusion I would say that from now onwards, I will use Auric Illuminator for every of my fave CDs, VCDs and DVDs. You may be spending thousands of dollars to get a very high-end Amp or even a CDP...But if your disc has never been treated with Auric Illuminator before, you can never realize the full potential of the equipment you bought! It takes 2 hands to make a clap...In a world where most media are readily made available in a disc format. I would say that this is one product that's truly indispensable. Even if you don't own any high-end audio equipment to play your discs...one can still feel a significant improvement in the overall reproduction of the sound the way the Recording Studio wanted the music lovers to enjoy! Worth the buy absolutely. For as little as $60.00. you can have your old LDs, CDs and DVDs to get a NEW LEASE OF LIFE! Why wait?! You can place your orders now from 1388.com Technology Pte Ltd. |
