The I know, the I don't?

But put it the other way, if human beings can come up with something like Shun Mook or Combak or whatever cones which I know very well and all these can sell, very often I asked myself why can't I?

The main reason that I didn't commit myself earlier was because I am simply too good in sonic tweaking, the best in Singapore and JB and some said... and I know too well how different material resonations can actually affect a sound system and to what extent. I've seen and listened to too many systems. I realized that the more I learned from numerous systems, be it large or small, the more unknown, or blind spots I'd found in resonance tweaking. There is no fix equation or formula that can surely provide a solution. There is nothing like "one size fits all".

What frightening me the most is, I saw too many cases that the owners just dump the cones, spikes or other tuning devices into their drawers within days. "What a bloody waste of money!" They exclaimed.

You see, today's exuberance could result in tomorrow's apologies, it happens too often in audio industry. I always make sure I look both ways before crossing the street... 1388 members are generally more open to my ideas and were keen to listen to what I said (are you??); I am also always too proud of myself and my knowledge in tweaking and I simply can't force myself to produce something selling sky-high but offering only limited improvements; like many other products available in the market.

My invention must be a commitment to all my believers. It must be really stunning, if not almighty. It must be powerful and effective in almost all systems. There are many audiophiles who still stick to their own worlds and to them, tweaking seems rather a nebulous concept as there were not many writings about them. To them it was a crazy idea to spend a few hundred bucks buying 'some stones' and placed them on their CDP or transports. Nevertheless, the response to PAVANE is really overwhelming...

Very often I felt that PAVANE is just a miracle and I have very little to do with it. In real world, PAVANE made me shiver.

I have tested PAVANE in Yilun's system, in CK's system, in Martin's system... The more systems I tried this magical gem tweak on, my feelings about my own invention became more complicated...

At that time I had started my preliminary design of CESAR. My worry was, can my luck still hold? Can I be more creative? Can I still count on my blessings to be able to produce another equally good, or even better GEM tweak?

October was a bad month for me. My temper was boiling because of all the tedious works involving moving office and mainly because of the 1st unsuccessful attempt of CESAR.

After we settled down in our new office, every day I spent hours in front of my humble system testing all possible combinations and possibilities to improve on the basic design, sweating, swearing... but no luck at all.
